Modern Dairy Packaging Management Policy
1. Purpose
Section titled “1. Purpose”This policy document aims to articulate the Group’s principles, practices, and objectives for packaging materials management in its raw milk and feed businesses. The Group strictly adheres to a series of laws, regulations, and administrative measures, including the “Food Hygiene Law of the People’s Republic of China” and the “Regulations on Metrological Supervision of Pre-packaged Goods.” We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of packaging while ensuring product safety and quality, through optimizing packaging design, promoting environmentally friendly packaging forms, implementing recycling, and encouraging supply chain collaboration. This policy reflects the Group’s commitment to sustainable development, aiming to achieve the circular economy principles of “source reduction, reuse, and recycling” for packaging.
2. Policy Objectives
Section titled “2. Policy Objectives”The main objectives of this policy include:
- Ensuring Product Safety and Quality: Always prioritizing product safety and quality in all packaging practices.
- Reducing Environmental Footprint: Minimizing the negative environmental impact of packaging by reducing the amount of packaging materials used and promoting recyclable and reusable packaging.
- Promoting Resource Circularity: Actively promoting the recycling, reuse, and resource recovery of packaging materials to build a circular economy model.
- Improving Operational Efficiency: Reducing operational costs and improving efficiency through optimized packaging management.
- Fulfilling Corporate Social Responsibility: Responding to national environmental protection policies and demonstrating corporate responsibility and commitment to sustainable development.
- Guiding Customers and Partners: Encouraging customers and partners to jointly participate in environmentally friendly packaging practices, forming a green development model across the entire chain.
3. Packaging Management Practices
Section titled “3. Packaging Management Practices”We are committed to fully integrating environmental considerations into our packaging strategy, striving to minimize the negative impact of packaging on ecosystems while ensuring efficient product transportation and storage. We believe that through the following series of innovative practices, we can not only improve operational efficiency but also provide customers with more environmentally friendly product solutions.
3.1 Raw Milk Business:
- Specialized Transportation: Raw milk business does not use additional packaging materials. During raw milk transportation, the company strictly adheres to the “Automotive Industry Standard of the People’s Republic of China – Fresh Milk Transport Vehicles (QC/T 23–2014)” regulations, using specialized milk tankers for transportation to meet environmental requirements.
- Sealing Safety: All sealing materials in contact with milk are fat-resistant, non-toxic, non-contaminating to milk, and resistant to corrosion from common cleaning agents and disinfectants. All sealing gaskets are food-grade materials, eliminating any potential contamination.
- Efficient Insulation: The tank body uses high-performance insulation materials that are chemically stable, non-absorbent, non-corrosive to the tank, and absolutely do not release toxic substances. Within 24 hours, the temperature fluctuation of raw milk inside the tank does not exceed 1.5℃. The milk tank lid and the tail-end milk outlet operation box are equipped with insulating layers to further enhance insulation, ensuring consistent raw milk quality.
3.2 Feed Business:
- Promoting Reusable Packaging and Recycling:
- Production End: Promoting the use of bulk feed and ton-bag feed products, avoiding the use of a large number of single-use small packages (e.g., bagged).
- Sales End: For external sales, in addition to promoting bulk feed and ton-bag feed to customers, ton-bags are also collected for reuse.
- Increasing Recyclable Packaging and Phasing Out Single-Use Plastics:
- Supply End: Collaborating with suppliers for bagged material packaging, prioritizing the use of biodegradable or recyclable materials, and gradually phasing out single-use plastic packaging.
- Production End: The woven bag materials currently in use are not single-use plastic packaging and can be recycled and reused.
- Sales End: Flaked corn bagged materials use recyclable or biodegradable packaging, reducing the use of current single-use packaging bags.
- Recycled Materials as Packaging Solutions:
- Supply End: For paper-plastic packaging materials such as fat powder/calcium fatty acid/rumen-protected soybean meal, recycled plastic or recycled paper bags are used.
