Board Chair The Chairman of the Board leads the Board and sets the strategic direction of the Group. The Chairman is responsible for overseeing health and safety matters, including occupational health, employee well-being, accident prevention and emergency response. The Chairman ensures that health and safety factors are considered in the corporate priorities set by the Board. As the ultimate accountable body for the health and safety program, the Chairman of the Board has approved the "Five-Year Strategic Plan" that includes health and safety development, policies, and corresponding measures, continuously monitors health and safety risks and opportunities, and regularly adjusts the health and safety strategy. The Chairman also receives reports from the Sustainability Committee on the Company's health and safety performance and progress.
Director on board The Board of Directors of the Company attaches great importance to health and safety work and is responsible for related strategies and reporting, including formulating the Company's health and safety strategy, assessing health and safety risks, and ensuring that the Company has established effective risk management and internal control systems. It makes the final assessment and determination of the importance of health and safety issues such as occupational health, employee well-being, accident prevention and emergency response, and regularly reviews the Company's health and safety performance and approves the disclosure content in the Company's health and safety report.
Chief Executive Officer
(CEO)
The CEO is an executive director member of the Board. This makes the CEO the link between the Board and the senior executive team. The CEO is responsible for integrating health and safety issues into the strategy, monitoring the Company’s health and safety performance and progress, and leading the executive team to manage the delivery and execution of the health and safety strategy. The topics discussed include health and safety (including occupational health) related risks and opportunities and their potential impact on the business, employee well-being initiatives, accident prevention measures, emergency response plans, etc.
Board-level committee The Sustainability Committee is a Board-level committee composed of executive directors and independent directors. The Committee is responsible for overseeing sustainability and corporate responsibility matters, including health and safety issues such as occupational health, employee well-being, accident prevention and emergency response. At the same time, the Committee is also responsible for developing the "Health and Safety Strategy", policies and corresponding measures, continuously identifying and monitoring health and safety risks and opportunities, and regularly supervising health and safety work. The Committee also reports to the Chairman of the Board on the Company's health and safety performance and progress.
